Complex Sales Executive

Kanava Hotels & Resorts is looking to recruit a passionate Complex Sales Executive.

We are looking for an individual who has a solid work ethic, high level of integrity, concern for quality, cross cultural sensitivity, and customer service orientation.

Kanava Hotels & Resorts was created on 1989, having nowadays more than 300 employees and owning and managing in Santorini and Paros islands the following properties:

  • Vedema Resort, member of the Luxury Collection brand of Marriott International Inc
  • Mystique Hotel, member of the Luxury Collection brand of Marriott International Inc
  • Istoria Hotel, member of the Design Hotels brand of Marriott International Inc
  • Parilio Hotel, member of the Design Hotels brand of Marriott International Inc
  • Acron Villas, member of Marriott Homes & Villas and
  • Hommage Villa Collection, member of Marriott Homes & Villas

Key Responsibilities:

Drives revenue to achieve company’s topline goals for each of their hotels & villas by reactively and proactively soliciting all leisure (FIT, Retail, Groups) segments to include new & existing business. Supports the day-to-day operational management of the department and ensure flawless administration organization & structure.

  • Adjusts to significant variation in daily workload through independent prioritization by setting day-to-day priorities to complete assigned responsibilities
  • Actively solicits new business by utilizing negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to uncover new business
  • Maintains existing business portfolio & assigned accounts, by qualifying customer’s long-term business potential and growth
  • Achieves Group & FIT Leisure revenue goals by responding to incoming group & FIT opportunities for the properties that are within the pre-defined peak room parameters
  • Handles all available Fit & Group sales channels, (e.g., CVENT, OneSource, FIT transient intermediaries, Opera, Fidelio etc.), to qualify and optimize sales opportunities & revenues and to maintain an up-to-date database and firm data information and entries
  • Liaises as a Project Manager with the Revenue/Reservations team to migrate to new systems and set up accurate sales entries and data
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, offers, contracts and customer correspondence).
  • Provides accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Reservations/Revenue and Hotel Operations Teams
  • Always maintains a well-organized offline and online filing system and overtakes the administration organization of the department
  • Maintains and creates a consistent reporting scheme via all company’s systems
  • Plans and Conducts face to face Sales Calls, Entertainments, Events, Sales Trips, Webinars, Virtual Showcases, Trade Shows and all related sales activities and actions when needed
  • Plans and Conducts site inspections, familiarization trips, entertainments as required while incorporating the hotel brand initiatives and company core values. (Communication with FAM Trip Organizer, prepare creative itineraries, liaise with operations team, and communicate internally all scheduled activities)
  • Supports the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience and communication
  • Promotes awareness of brand image internally and externally
  • Understands the overall market (e.g., competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc.) and knows how to sell against them
  • Understands and actively utilizes company marketing initiatives/incentives to convert cold leads to leads
  • Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and verifying their satisfaction before and during their program/event

Desired Skills:

  • Degree in Hospitality, Marketing & Communications, or relevant field
  • At least three years related working experience in luxury hotels
  • Excellent English & Greek language with the ability to write and speak effectively
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced technical skills, including superior Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel
  • The position includes working in Athens, Santorini, and Paros
